You’ve made the decision to try CBD hemp oil in the liquid form of a tincture. Now you’re likely wondering how to use hemp oil, or how to know if it’s working for you.

We’ll go over the following topics:

• Basics of using a tincture
• How to be safe when starting your hemp routine
• Shake, dispense, absorb, and repeat
• What to expect from your hemp oil
• Great hemp product recommendations
• How to find more information

Let’s begin with the basics. Skip to Step 1.

What is a Hemp Oil Tincture?

tincture bottle

Tinctures are liquid extracts of plant or herbal materials, explicitly intended for oral (by mouth) use. Using them is extremely simple.

Thanks to the commonly used dropper top (as pictured on the right), you can easily measure an exact amount.

Prologue

Educate yourself on the benefits of hemp oil and read about how other people are using it and determining how much to take. The manufacture recommended serving size on hemp supplements may not be perfect for everyone, so we encourage you to experiment.

If you receive a tincture and it’s not sealed with either a plastic safety seal or a locked top, please contact the seller and request a new one. Many hemp-based herbal products on the market are made in small, niche facilities and are susceptible to human error. Be safe!

Step 1

Shake well!

Separation in hemp oil products is completely natural and to be expected. Some bottles are impossible to see into (which is good — dark bottles help block light for optimal shelf life), but if you can, take note of how the oil tends to settle onto the bottom. Once you start shaking, it quickly blends. I can’t stress how important this step is. If you don’t shake it, you’ll likely end up consuming straight grapeseed and coconut oil. It’s not the tastiest experience, and won’t be very beneficial for you either.

Step 2

Squeeze the dropper top to fill the pipette with oil and dispense the oil under your tongue. You can swish it around a little, but most people like to just let it sit (that way you avoid some of the hemp taste — albeit Tasty Drops actually tastes great if you choose a flavored version). You can add as many droppers full as needed; don’t feel you need to restrict yourself to the recommended serving size. The phytocannabinoids in our proprietary blend is non-psychoactive. However, many people have noted a slight sedative effect at larger quantities. This may be beneficial if you have trouble sleeping, so consider using it before bed.

Allow the oil to absorb into your system by holding the oil in your mouth for 60-90 seconds before swallowing. You may choose to swish it around, but it’s not necessary. If you find the flavor to be too strong, take a drink of juice as you ingest the oil to mask that hempy flavor (apple cider works very well).

Step 3

Repeat as necessary throughout the day. As mentioned above, hemp oil may be slightly sedative at higher amounts, or simply calming and relaxing at a lower serving size.

Results

Tasty Hemp Oil drops is a food supplement that can help support overall well-being. The natural constituents (called “phytocannabinoids”) work by interacting with your Endocannabinoid System.

We recommend two weeks of consistent usage for the phytocannabinoids to build up in your system and for your body to understand what to do with it. If you feel it’s not working for you after that time, try increasing your serving size. If that still doesn’t help, email or call us for help.

Best Hemp Oil Products

Now that you know how to use hemp oil, let’s take a look at some great options.

Our hemp experts developed our Tasty Hemp Oil Tasty Drops tincture. This high-quality hemp oil blend contains various phytocannabinoids, all non-psychoactive, and may contain other natural compounds like terpenes and flavonoids.

We use this special blend because we believe it’s important to have a combination of the various natural plant compounds, for a full-spectrum product. A common term for this is the “entourage effect,” which refers to a proposed synergistic effect between the different cannabinoids and terpenoids in hemp. Similar products may be touted as cannabis oil, but the accurate name for products like Tasty Hemp Oil is hemp oil due to its origin and lack of psychoactive effects. Our oil is derived from domestic hemp, which naturally contains less than 1% of the psychoactive compound. Tasty Drops are legal in all 50 states according to the 2018 Farm Bill.

A common misconception we hear is “cannabinoids from hemp are not as good as cannabinoids from cannabis.” This statement is arguably confusing; hemp is cannabis, just like all the other strains that fall under the cannabis species. They variations of cannabinoids they can contain are endless — you never know what they have until the oil is extracted and tested. Our properly sourced hemp oil is rich in their proprietary cannabinoid blend and is 3rd party lab tested to verify cannabinoid potency and to check for any contaminants.
